“Grief is the price we pay for love” – Queen Elizabeth II
Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, passed away at the age of 96 last week (Thursday 8th September 2022).
Elizabeth Alexandra Mary became Queen in 1952, and has been serving her country – and the commonwealth – faithfully ever since.
For the last 70 years, the Queen has put both her country, and God, ahead of her own wishes and interests, and for that we celebrate her life and mourn her death.
However, we know she is with the Lord in heaven, and reunited once again with her beloved husband, Prince Phillip, who passed away last year.
We have lived through so much history in the last few years alone, and now we are witnesses to the end of the life of the longest-reigning monarch, and the coronation of the oldest heir to the throne!
May the King be a Defender of the Faith as his mother was, and rule the country with love and peace.
Three cheers for the Queen and King!
With Love, Abi X
